Ok I have put my motor back in my bike after doing the frame. I need to know where does the hose that connects to that 3way splitter on the clutch case side go. I know one hose connects to the back of the motor and one hose runs inside where the water pump is. My question is where does the third hose go, the one the runs out of the top of that splitter????

Also where does the hose that runs from the top of the coolant reserve bottle in the rear connect to??? I know the bottom connects to the radiator I need help with the putting the top hose back.

that hose is nothing more then a vent... on a new banshee they run it over the top of the motor but you can run it anywhere.... doesnt connect to anything

also the coolant bottle you can ditch... you dont need. it.. just run the radiator hoes down your frame to dump... and just keep an eye on your levels like normal...

Thanks bro, I thought that hose that came out of that splitter ran to something. You say I can get rid of the coolant bottle?? Can I just run that hose from the coolant bottle up over the motor also???

Coolant will spit out of that vent from time to time. I wouldn't run it over the motor unless you like the smell of antifreeze. Just run it to where it dumps behind your swingarm.

There is no harm in removing it completely (overflow bottle). I'm going to run a line down the front of the frame dumping it under the suspension....

If any coolant goes into that bottle, which...it will from time to time just a tad, it will NOT suck it back out for the radiator, like it does in your car. So...it's really an overflow, NOT a recirc system.

Ok thanks, I am going to just run it shorter so it drips dehind my swingarm. Where should I run that hose that comes out of the top of that 3way splitter on the clutch case side. I know its a vent but dont know where to put it ???????

DO NOT RUN THE TRANSMISSION VENT (T JOINT) BACK TO THE SWINGARM!!!!!

Sometimes these guys have good ideas but this one will cause you to lose all your tranny fluid causing your gears to weld to the output shafts and burn up your clutch and weld the push rod to the ball. I've fixed three motors that have had this happen. Wait 4 motors... one I told the owner he needed a complete new motor after the gears locked up and some how smacked the bottom of the cases cracking it around the drain plug.

The factory routing is over the motor up the steering stem hoop, over the top radiator mount then back down the steering stem hoop to a welded on fold over clamp/tab. You need the vent to be as high as possible so when you climb/decend hills you will not lose transmission oil.

It might not happen the first time you ride it or the first year but it will eventually burn you in the end.

Ok thats where I will run it to then, I dont want to lose any tranny oil or anything like that. Thanks for the insight man. Thanks everyone else also for your help.
