hey last night i tried tightening my chain and i didnt do anything other than go to town on the adjustment screws in the back. thats it. did i just mess up. i rode it later and i was ok until i opened it up all the way it started wobbleing a little bit. im gonna re do it now that i learned u have to loosen the carrier. does some one have pics. or some thing more detailed. all i got out of the search was get a clymers or what ever.i need some one with some actual instructions.

Yeah.. you messed up..

 

There are 2 bolts that you need to loosen.. One on the top of the carrier and one on the bottom. they run through, you'll need a wrench or socket on each side.. I believe they are 14mm and 15mm. Easiest to turn your tires so you can fit a socket between the disc brake holes and sprocket hole on the other side..

 

After these 2 bolts are loosened off, you can go ahead and tighten the adjusting screws on the back(after loosening the locking nuts of course). You should accually notice the carrier moving backward as you tighten the bolts... Feel the chain for tightness and then tighten the lock nuts and the 2 big bolts that you loosened to begin with.. Try to keep the adjustment screws even on each side.. I find counting the number of threads showing the easiest way.

after you do all that you could just cound the little ticks that are on each ajuster much easier then counding threads lol No offence brad lol mach sure you have the same amount on each side.
