Hollister_Hitman Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 I am looking inot buying this frame but the guy doesn't know what year it is. I haven't seen it yet other than in this picture. I was wondring if it is possible to tell if it is a j-arm fram or a-arm frame by this pic. I am not 100% sure there is even a difference in the two but I think there is. Also I am buying it in Ca and it has no title or vin. I am planing on stripping my bike and using this frame because mine is a little tweaked and isn't powdercoated. I can just keep registering my bike and slapping the sticker on the plastics which will be on this bike right? Will I run into any problems. Also my current banshee is an 01' I can use any year frame that isn't j-arm correct? -Thanks Quote
Shee-Male Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 (edited) J- arm, so 1987-88, anything after that was a arm. You can tell cause the upper arm mount is only 3" wide. Note the pic of the frame below. Edited December 14, 2006 by Shee-Male Quote
kaotik1 Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 Looks like a J arm frame to me. The top should be a larger opening if it were an A arm frame. Quote
Hollister_Hitman Posted December 14, 2006 Author Report Posted December 14, 2006 thanks, easy to tell now. I didn't notice that. Quote
