Bro...

C'mon...you're splitting hairs over a few dollars now. If you buy that kit for 149.99..you're going to pay 6.00 or so for shipping off Ebay. Then, you're going to pay 5.00 for each of the wrist pin bearings or so...

 

Would you rather trust a shop like Magic Racing...or deal with Ebay?

 

If this was like a 20, 30 or 40 dollar difference, I can see. But at this point you're worried about saving less than 5 bucks any way you cut it.

 

I'd go the magic racing route or motosport.com route....period....why trust ebay, despite his feedback record...when you can have a major player ship you parts?

i am not worried about a few bucks... that is not the point i was trying to make.. i was just wondering about that style pistion.. i was just looking at differant pistons... i mean if there was 100.00 dollar differance ya i would like a better deal.. and i agree that a shop with a good track record is better then going with a unknow person

have any of you guys ever run namura pistons ? i am just wondering if they are any good.. or who actually makes them ? alot of places have like cp.. or weiseco or someone like that make them for them.... here is a link to read about them.. tell me what you think?? they have the coated skirt .. they sound good

Weisco is the only way to go, they have been proven in just about every bike out there. IMO spend the extra$ and go with the forged weisco :thumbsup:

i just got a .040 weisco kit off ebay with a cometic top end gasket set for 117.00 to my door off ebay......keep lookin youll find a good deal......

i would put wiesco forged pistons in it. i run one in a yz250 that the cylinder was wore to the point that the stock piston pithed just enough to break the bottom off the skirt off. all i did was put the piston in it and ran it for more than 2 years, then sold the bike and he just about run the wheels off it. cranked 3rd- 4th kick every time. never had a problem with weisco. been running them for over 10 years.
