yamaha04 Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 i striped my jugs today with that aircraft stripper everyone seems to use and i just happend to come acrossed a post saying that after you strip them you should get wd-40 on the cylinder walls right away. is this true i did after about 30 mins once i notced acouple weird spots on my walls that wernt there before. is this a bad thing what does this stuff do to the insides? Bansh-eman Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 it strips EVERYTHING ... theres no oil or anything left casue it eats it all away... so you got to coat them so it doesnt ruin or rust your sleves... id use 2 stroke oil vice wd-40 but either will work... if the spots are bad you might want to pass a hone through the sleeve and clean it up before you put it back together Quote
yamaha04 Posted December 4, 2006 Author Report Posted December 4, 2006 (edited) thanks yeah im going to get them bored to the next size so everything is new again there are no spots now but there was until i wiped them. i was just scared i messed somthing up lol stripper work amazing on the jugs not so good on the head anyone ever try that stuff on there head?
