bansheerage Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 no im pretty sure theres not a class there (someone correct me if im wrong) you build it and run it. there might have to be a bunch of safety shit allready set up before you run though Quote
The Faster Cracker Posted November 27, 2006 Author Report Posted November 27, 2006 ok so define build it and run? i am under the impression that there are classes for displacment or something like that. i mean could i go out there with a stock banshee and be put inot a diffrent category than a heavily modded shee? bansheerage Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 salt flats are more of a test your top spead thing. there are so many speed records held there. im pretty sure there is no racing as in brackets and classes. people go there to test there top speeds on crazy shit they have built. maybee certain times of the year they have actuall racing but i havent heard of it. hope this helps a little Quote
Mullet Man Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 (edited) there are classes. i dont think the classes would break down into specific machines tho. like fastest modded banshee, fastest stock banshee, fastest piped and jetted only banshee or anything like that. but there is probably something along the lines of fastest gas powered ATV. and if there isnt, then you would be the ground breaker in that class! there should be a rather large message board as well as a good website breaking things down for you i say check it out and go for it, would be pretty cool. i think they would have to shorten the distance some tho as the normal ~3 mile run (top speed recorded over the last miles average) would be way overextended Edited November 27, 2006 by Mullet Man Quote
Mullet Man Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 (edited) http://www.saltflats.com/ i got to looking around that website,.... 430MPH!!!!! Edited November 27, 2006 by Mullet Man Quote
Animalman294 Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 430 mph!!!!!!!!! Hell you could do that with the right gearing, and if you wait 'til NASA retire's the space shuttle program and pick up one of their slightly used rocket engines.............. :yelrotflmao: Quote
The Faster Cracker Posted November 27, 2006 Author Report Posted November 27, 2006 yeah that would be freagin awesome! i could hit mach 3,781 in like 2 seconds and would go right past cheek flapping speed to skin ripped off my face speed. lol. that would be awesome though Quote
Mullet Man Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 they have a "130mph club" gearing, power and as little drag as possible...oh and a fat wallet :ninja: Quote
Cotton eyed Joe Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 I looked into it a few years ago and I found that they didn't allow ATV's or ATC's. They do however allow bar stools. Quote
The Faster Cracker Posted November 28, 2006 Author Report Posted November 28, 2006 so now atv's....damn that sucks major dickage! well what would it take for the HQ to get something like that going? Quote

You have to pass tech to run for a time and you have to be asscociated with a club to run for a record. Quote
Animalman294 Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 Well you could always mount a bar stool on a banshee and go to town............... Quote
