I have a pretty much stock 94 banshee. It has about a dozen rides on its new 370 top end. It always would start right up in 1-4 kicks, but now it will not start, the compression is great, the carbs have been sinked and gone through and new needle valves and seats. the plugs are getting wet quickley. the floats are not sticking though. Is thier crankcase drain? the primary coil checked out good. the book says the seconday is not supposed to be open from the plug wire to the primary but i think the book may be wrong their. what is the correct way to test the secondary coil? It has spark on 2 out of 5 kicks with or with out the tors diconnected. the spark isnt the best spark I have seen but its the same as it was before when it ran normal except not liking to idle all of the time.

anyone had a similar problem?

First thing i would do is check your grounds. Take the coil off and sand off the paint on the frame where it bolts on and clean those connections if they are dirty. Also check the ground on the wiring harness. I had the same problem about a month ago, changed my coil, flywheel, wiring harness and still nothing.... finally changed my stator which tested good and bam o, fired the first kick.
