i have the uni pods. w/outerwares, no k&n, thats why i wsnt sure of oil for filter, bc its not a k&n.

When I worked at the dealer, We always used Bel-Ray foam filter oil. That stuff is super tacky. Also PJ1 extra tacky is good too. If you looking for somthing that cleans a little easier or want somthing thats easier to apply, KLOTZ foam filter oil is pretty good. I've used some others too but these are the ones that I found worked the best.

if your riding in the sand i would stay away from the tacky oils... they are a son of a bitch to get clean! juust run a k&n type filterr with K&n style oil and a dry outer... wash the outer every weekend and just take a look at your filter if its dirty wash it if not you can get away with another weekend on it... use simplegreen to clean the filter and use dawn dish soap to wash the outer... dry them over night and reapply oil to the filter...

alright i went down and just gotthe k&n stuff, i know them so they cut mea deal for 9$, not too bad

Thats what Im sayin man. If your riding trails you need to ditch them pods and get the box back on with lid if you run through any sort of water. Them pods are gonna suck in all sorts of shit on the trails espically water. And for trails its the tackyest stuff you can buy. I like the 2:1 uni foam filter lid on with Bel Ray foam oil for my riding style. Just keep them clean and dont ever use gas or kerosene to clean your filters. That will chew them rite up. Better safe then sorry.

im taring mine down to the frame also,frame painted, engine rebuilt, all new quad, sad to see them that way,

i use the k@n cleaner and oil on my k@ns and on the foam filters i clean with dishsoap or simplegreen what ever one i have then oil with pj1 spray. dont put anything on the outerwares.

i like the PJ1 cleaner. have used the uni cleaner, it cleans the filter good but it will make you gag if you are not in a really really well ventilated area. otherwise i use the PJ1 oil. cheapest i can get and it will work the K and N in my truck as well.
