Ok, I had this tank for a while, and I mounted in the back orignally using a fender washer in the bolt. This doesnt seem right because the fender washers still arent big enough, and they are the biggest ones out there. Here is a pic of the bolt, and the spots I'm talking about

I tried calling IMS and the lady I talked to told me to use the stock hardware. The rubber boots inserts don't really fit, and I couldnt really find a way to tmake them. Cut them maybe? I was just wondering how you guys made them work? Is there a mounting kit for the tanks. Also in the pics you can see I had to use zip ties to hold the fenders together. The holes on the tank definately arent right either, but I don't mind so much about that. As always, thanks,

I used the rubber boots and fender washers, when you tighten the washer down the rubber boot will scwash out and exspand and hold it good. The rubber will also help with the vibration.

I squeezed the rubber mount into the wholes. By tightening the screws it simply compressed the rubber inside the whole & fits very snug. Don't have to cut anything. I took the screws to the local wardware, told them I wanted the same screw but loonger & bigger washers. So that holds it all together!

I had the same problem where the plastic would not line up. I didn't like how the tank would rest where the seat rests so I simply shaved off the ends so the tank would sit flush on the frame. That allowed the screws from the hardware store to fit just perfect.

Hope this helps.
