bans350ya Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 i just recently bought my new banshee. On my second day of owning it i bought fmf pipes and silencers for it. the i bought a UNI air filter for it. and ive been having problems getting it started and it wont idle very long after getting it started until it gets warmed up. i was wondering if this could be a jetting problem and if so how do i fix it? any advice would be greatly appreciated. If not thats your problem. Quote
JET 99 Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 you have changed how much air your motor can move thru itself, so now you need to rejet to compensate for it................................... im pretty sure everone else will agree.......... Quote

What size mains are you running right now? Does it still have the stock airbox, lid on, with your new UNI air filter? Have you changed the clip position on the metering needle(s)? How far out are the air screws? If you turn them in all the way, then twist out about half a turn, this will richen the starting... Edited November 14, 2006 by David Keith Quote
dajogejr Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 These guys have you going in the right direction. If you give us more info, we can help get you very close on the jetting, but...we can't give you exact jets. You'll have to tune and figure that out on your own. Elevation you ride at? Temps you ride in? All mods done to the bike, including airbox, lid, snorkel, stock timing, shaved/aftermarket head, etc? FMFs are notorious for liking a fatter pilot than most pipes. The fact that you didn't change the jetting tells me you're way LEAN, so...I'd stop riding it period until the jetting is fixed accordingly! Quote
