hicks350 Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 ok, I think I've ditched the vito's big bore plans and am gonna go with porting my cylinders. I've been doing some reading on porting and some on strokers. when I search on here for porting passion and fast come up the most often. what are your recommendations here, or are there other places to do it? should I just send my cylinders off and do the reasemble myself? what would the cost difference be between getting a stroke crank and just staying with the stock one? will the stock crank hold up? RIPPEN Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 There are actually TONS of builders that you can send your cyls or whole engine out to.. I have had all my work done by Jeff at FAST. Does GREAT work in all aspects of the build. I belive the 4mill crank is a little over 400 bucks. The other cranks obviously go up in price from there and to have your stock crank trued and welded I belive is 75(check his website-in my sig).. As far as assembly, for the 250 bucks he charges to tear down, inspect and reassemble IMO is the way to go.. Nice to get the engine back and KNOW that everything is done properly, pressure checked(some builders don't) and squish tested.. Give him a call and see what he recomends for your riding style and budget.. RIPPEN Quote

banshee332 Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 My vote goes to passion racing. Jim could do the whole motor for you if you wanted him to. Very good builder. Quote
