White06Shee Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 Well i was just wondering if you guy think those chrome clutch covers with the clear thing that shows the clutch or luck up is worth the 3 or 400 dollars, and isnt the luck up for higher up hp banshee, and how easy do the clear cover scratch up becasue i do trail, and does pictures Quote
bigboybanshee Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 Generally speaking, if you're not drag racing a majority of the time, I wouldn't get one. The lock up is to keep your clutches from slipping on a high HP engine. If you do more duning or trail riding than racing, I wouldn't invest in a lockup/clutch cover, etc. Just my .02 :shrug: Quote

But like Big Blue said, you can run the aftermarket housing using a stock clutch if you want. They look nice and all, but sometimes you have to grind your right peg down slightly to clear it, and definitely have to jockey with the rear brake pedal. Quote

I've taken a cover to Redline and picked it up the next day since he does them himself. His link is in my sig. There are 2 styles that I've seen.
