87_shee Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 Hey guys.. Might be a stupid question but I just need a second opinion. My buddy just purchased a 03 shee with port&polish(not sure who did it) , head milled and FMF fattys. Anyways I cleaned his carbs for him and i noticed its only got a 240 main in it. Is it just me or is this way to small. The bike runs great and the plugs are nice and brown, but I run a similar set up except i have knarlys instead of fattys and I run a 280 main and my plugs are as close to perfect as they get. So should he bump up the main or leave it like it is? Oh yeah were both at sea level and run a airbox with lid, he has K&N and I have UNI Quote
Tim C Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 That seem very lean to me especially if it's ported and considering the temperature here now Quote
dajogejr Posted November 9, 2006 Report Posted November 9, 2006 Real easy way to find out. His plug color could be coming from the pilot or needle circuits. Plug chops done properly don't lie: http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/plugchop.html Quote

I ran 240's on my banshee with T5's and the stock air filter. Ran very good. Quote
