I'm having some trouble's getting my cousins banshee tuned.. It has 260 main jets, fmf needles on 2nd to last postion stock pilot jets and air/fuel screws at 2 turns out..

It has boyseen reeds, 10mm reed spacers, uni air filter, we just put a pro design timing advance plate set at 4degrees, t.o.r.s removed and fmf sst's with powercore 2's

It starts first kick but dies instantly unless you have the choke out, wont idle and if your riding it lowend it wont run unless the choke is out.., mid-top is fine

It's sounding like it needs bigger pilot's but I thought it would be a good idea to come on here and ask before I go and buy them!

Whats the next size up 27. 5's?

That's what I was thinking as well but when I brought the needles one clip up out of the jets it ran alot better..

This quad has been a pain in the arse my shee is easy to tune compared to this thing :banghead:

Go up a size on the pilot. When you choke it you richen the circuit up. So if it runs better with the choke then it is lean. Mine starts without a choke right now, it has 32.5, I have to go down a size. Got o 27.5

Middle clip, 27.5 pilot (one step up from stock 25) air screw 1.0 to 2.0 turns out...and use a 260 main as you have....

I'm assuming you're running a full airbox and lid...

FMF pipes in general like a fat pilot. 27.5 and 1.0 turns out should get you damn close...

The 27.5 pilot's did the trick! idle's perfect now I just have to drop the needles one in the jet's and it should be good to go!

Thank's!

Glad to hear...wasn't that intimidating or tough, was it?

Double check to make sure the slides are raising and lowering at the same time, call it a day!!!

Oh, and DO not over tighten the throttle tops for the stock carbs, they will stick. Hand snug, then use the hold down L brackets on either side to keep them in place...
