odaen Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 Ok, how do I make my engin a stroker, is just the crank, and of coarse the porting, can you still run a long rod? a stroker means that you have put in a crank with a longer stroke and increased your motor's displacement. anything bigger than a +4mm crank will require trenching your cases. yes, you can still run a long rod. most people would recommend it porting your cylinders for your riding type is probably the most effective mod you can do to your motor. do a search on here, there have been quite a few posts about them, and what is required. Animalman294 Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 You can put in just the stroker crank, but most people opt to put in the longer rods, because it changes the angle of the piston direction and the rod itself. Which doesn't put as much stress on your motor, so longer rods are your friends................ Quote
