I purchased a new 2006 Banshee and it was rejetted by the dealership to the following:

190 main, 3rd clip, 2.5 turns on low.

I live in Calgary Alberta and the altitude is 1048 metres and I ride where the altitude is around 1150 metres. That would be 3800 feet.

Does this sound like a good completely stock tune for this altitude? Any recommendations to try out? I just really don't like the complete lack of power until the powerband comes on. To me it feels really boggy but my buddy says thats a two stroke.......

My first mod will be Boyseen reeds but I have been told that no jetting is required for these.

Next mod will be K&N filter with outerwears with no box cutout so I would like a recommendation for jetting for these.

The final mod will be pipes and I wonder what people think about FMF Gnarly pipes as I am most interested in gaining low end power before the pipe comes on. I am doing trail riding, light mud bogging and hill climbing. Would I be better off getting Fatties?

So to sum up:

What should my stock jetting for this altitude be?

What should I change when I add reeds?

What should I change when I then add the K&N with closed airbox?

Finally what should I change when I add the pipes and which pipe do you think I should get?

Thanks for the help in advance and am I ever glad I found this site!

I would save up the cash and get all those mods done at one time. That way you'll only have to re-jet it once. Pretty much all of those mods are going to cause you to have to re-jet. Your bike will wake up the most with pipes. I have no experience with the gnarly pipes, but I have fatties and like them a lot. I don't know what your jetting should be at that altitude, but you should do the plug chop along with other tests just to make sure. All of this is searchable info... A little search goes a long way.
