HAVE A BANSHEE THAT WILL NOT CATCH WHEN YOU KICK START IT. FREE ALL THE WAY. ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEAS WHAT IT MIGHT BE.

THANKS

make sure you have spark

make sure the gas isn't bad, and has oil in it

make sure the petcock is ON

make sure there's gas in the tank

check to see if the choke tube between the carbs is cracked or not,

if so replace it

If this is all good, try this it works for me every time.

1) With ignition OFF, pull ON the choke (and of course the gas is on),

kick the engine over about three times.

2) Now turn the ignition on and kick it over. If it doesn't start and you

checked everything out, there's more going on than is obvious.

check the compression

Is this a twist throttle or stock thumb set-up?

sounds like you need to take side case cover off and see why your kicker gear is not catching when you move it should be pretty easy to see what is f----ed up. clymers manuals the bible for shee repair get one and you will be able to figure out most of the mechanical stuff..........

sorry if you misunderstood my post. everything is perfect motor wise, just the kick start is not catching, i can pull start it and it fires right up. Problem is in the kick starter.

But thanks for your time and input anyway.

When you take it off check and see if the spring is attached to the little pin on the top left hand side, its hard to miss. If it isnt just take some needle nose and pull it on up to the pin.
