bigdaddy69 Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 currently i am running a set of pro circuits. they are a little beat up and dont look all that great i mostly ride trails and do some drag racing. just wanting some opinions on what kind of pipes i should buy. (be looking for the pipes in the for sale forum, or go ahead and send me a pm if intrested will be selling them in the near future) Quote
okbeast Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 I'm running T-5's and the consensus on them seems to be that they're one of the best "all-around" pipes out right now. I love the powerband they have. Quote

JET 99 Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 running t-5s. do the same type riding as you and love them.................. you will hear fmf gnarlys and the list goes on and............... stay away from drag pipes would be my only useful suggestion!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Jokerzwild Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 Im running FMF gold with the powercore two silencers and was looking into changing for the same reason would it be better to do some other things first, my bike is stock except for pipes no air box and no TORS.I like the T5's but want to gane more power if I wouldnt gane to much with just changing pipes Quote
dajogejr Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 You probably won't gain a whole lot. Although I do love the T5 pipes, FMF does make a fine pipe too... Quote
adrenaline junky Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 I think you should go with t5s.If you are going to get t5s, make sure you buy the pro rider kit from toomey.com. Mine runs perfect. Toomey really did a great job on this kit. It comes with a 2:1 high flow airfilter with outerwear pre-filter,(eliminates airbox) perfect jet kit, boyesen power reeds, pipes, silencers, stinger tubes, and a metal clamp for the silicone seals. The only bad thing about this is that you will have to either buy or custom make a coolant bottle bracket. Whole kit costs 700 dollars. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 you dont need the coolant bottle... you can ditch it and run the over flow hose out your radiator down your frame. Quote
Jokerzwild Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 Just wondering would I gain more power spending 550 dollars on a coolhead vforce 3's timing plate than replacing pipes and reeds for 700 dollars?I just want to build it right the first time and not have to replace things as it gets F.A.S.T.er in the off season ,dune port true&welded crank and im probably going for the trynity 2-1 carb setup Im new to this and realy dont know what to spend the money on first. My name is Charles and im a banshee aholic Quote

smwood79 Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 If you already have pipes, get the head, reeds and timing plate. You will gain a good amount of power. From what I was told, changing from FMF to toomey is not going to make that much of a difference. Quote
Fireroad Express Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 pro circuits make good power. it just depends on how beat up they are. if they have huge dents or kinks in them, its time to replace them. if not go with the cool head and reeds you are planning on getting. Quote
