Well, just finished up the first banshee project. Thank you all for all of your replies, help and parts!

We took a short ride yesterday and right when I first get into the throttle it feels like I have the clutch pulled in (engaged/disengaged still learning the correct term). Then once I get it in the mid to upper rpms it feels normal or as it should be. I have a small amount on play at the perch, arrows appear to be pretty lined up. Could this just be indicating worn out plates or springs. Im sure it could be all of the above. Ive just never had a clutch "go bad" and dont know what it would feel like if it did or if it was on its way out. All suggestions appreciated! Im am learning and Im soaking up every bit of info I can so I can ride my shee and fix my shee as not all girls can do

What oil you running in the clutch case? I would think if the cltuch was worn you would drag in the higher RPM's as well?

Yes, that is the excact word that really decribes what Im talking about .........drag. I have no idea what oil is in it since it was just purchased a month ago and I havent rode it except for around the block. It really doesnt feel like its dragging in the higher rpm's. Almost feels like it drags from idle to low-mid rps and once it lets go the rpms really let loose. Im going to go through the whole thing like we did on the other this winter. Just trying to figure it out prior to that.

If you havent changed the oil, prob a good time to do so. Oil breaks down really quick in 2 stroke bikes. On all my bikes ( my shee, rm250 and rm125) I change out my case oil after every major ride or every other ride. Many people have different opinions on what oil to use for the clutch case, everyone has a different opinion on different oil but when some of them are $5qt it adds up really fast. I put ATF type F in all my bikes and never had any problems plus it only cost about a $1qt so its not expensive to change out frequently.
