Bansh-eman Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 anyone ever heard of running jet fuel through a shee? or is anyone doing it themselves? just wondering what advantages this would give if any. im sure it could be done with mods... jet fuel like the military uses is an oil bi-product similar to desiel fuel. not sure if thats the jet fuel your referring to or not... polkaudio Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 I wouldn't recommend this. Jet fuel ignites under high pressure. Plus it's diesel based which could gum up everything. But by all means give it a shot and let us know. Quote
swag Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 it's like gasoline there are diffrent grades from kerosene like fuel to diesel like fuel. and none of them would work well in a 2 stroke gas engine.you would need like 3or 4 cc domes and then i would assume some major fasteners to hold your jugs and head on. it's like jackass it's cool to watch someone else do it but may not be so cool if it's me. rocketboy Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 if by jet fuel yo u mean 100ll aviation fuel ....then yes it is an excellent fuel choice for 2 stroke engines Quote
bigdaddy69 Posted October 10, 2006 Author Report Posted October 10, 2006 the reason i was wondering is i have a buddy that has always told me he runs premium pump gas but for some odd reason he burns up rings like crazy...has to replace them after about every 3rd ride...but we went to some local races this weekend and i found that he is running what he called jet a through his shee it just sounds crazy to me so i just wanted some input Quote
