So far no one has solved the problem of what to do if you have pipes that do not have spark arrestors in them and you don't want to clamp things to the outside of them?

thats like wiping before you poop dosent make any sense.... :banghead:

Now that there is funny...I don't care who you are....

Firehead...there is no other option.

If they want to be dicks about it...they can poke that screen out all they want.

If your spark arrestor or silencer does not say USFS approved....you're gonna get the horns.

Clamp ons are pretty much your only option.... I guess if you want to wheelie that far back, shorten your silencers then clamp them on so they don't rub....or, you could just take it easier on the wheelies.

Welcome to our world...we've had to deal with sparkies forever in MI...yes, even at Silver Lake.

I've been there before when they actually looked for the USFS imprint/engraving on the sparky....so...best of luck to ya!

I run t-5 pipes with an open box and a K&N. I took the stock arrestors and cut about an inch off of each pipe and it clamped right onto the t-5 headpipes. I then took out the endcaps and the bike ran strong. These arrestors look like the turbine core inside, and they have a USFS approved stamp. It does run better with the toomey silencers, but overall it ran really good and it seemed to hit pipe quicker, with a small loss in peak. It actually worked out really good for the trails we where riding.
