dawarriorman Posted September 16, 2006 Report Posted September 16, 2006 Move the key, and get rid of the ugly plastic thing. I know some people just zip tie it under the seat somewhere, while modquad makes a braket to relocate the switch under the seat. Quote
suzuki0702 Posted September 16, 2006 Report Posted September 16, 2006 i just eliminated my key ..no need for it in my eyes my 45 and 9 will gaurd against any theft Quote
KlotzBanshee Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 I've got the Pro Taper SE ATV Mid bars and got them to fit fine with the stock key set up. You just have to move the bars so that the cross bar pad fits just between the key and the vent hose, which if you look at the bike from a profile view the bars should be at the same angle as continuing up the steering stem. If that make any sense. Moving/Removing the key presents a whole new pain in the ass imo. I just wanted new bars. good luck! Quote
peterlocal22 Posted September 17, 2006 Author Report Posted September 17, 2006 i would like to keep the stock key set up. if i bought the higher bend would this make a bigger space between the pad and the bottom bar were it mounts to the bike? or does the space stay the same but the bars go higher? thanks Quote
ClimbAnyHill Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 How about removing your iginition and tucking it away under your seat? Check this link for ModQuad. This $15 bracket goes directly under your seat and simply re-route the ignition. I think it would look clean and removes clutter from the bars. Oh, Sand Sports Super Show in Cali has these today for $7. http://modquad.com/store/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=hk-1 Quote
