need some info

ok there is oil comming out of the case where the clutch arm goes into the case. i pulled the dip stick out and there is too much oil in it. but the oil only comes out when it get hot, so i was woundering if the reason y its comming out is because there is too much oil in it? oh and has anyone had coolent leak into the case? thanks in advance.

if you have coolant leaking into your case it could be your impeller seal your head gaskets or the base gasket for your jugs.

 

when you say clutch arm are you talking about the lever on the top of the casue under the leftside carb?

ya it leaks out of there when it gets hot.

Drain your oil and put in 1 3/4 quarts...

You've got a TON of oil in that thing if it's coming out of the Actuator arm hole.

Also make sure your vent hoses are not pluged or kinked closed.

I always cut my vent hoses at a 45 degree angle, and then put an inch long slice on them as well.

Makes it a LOT tougher to get them clogged up....

head gaskets and base gaskets will not let coolent into the tranny oil, the oil youput in the gas is whats in the cylinder side of the cases, now you can get tranny oil in the crank case if you had a bad right side crank seal. if the oil in the tranny is a milky whit color then you have a bad water pump seal, and you better get it fixed asap. as far as how much oil to put in, I run 2 full qts. of atf type f in my tranny

I also have oil leaking from this seal. You think that this need replacement? It only started after I has my top end rebuilt.

If it's leaking coolant ...it'll over heat, possibly seize, possibly ruin a crank....your guess is as good as mine.

 

Riding a bike with a known issue like this is just like sitting on a ticking time bomb...it's no longer if, it's when...

 

And...the longer you ride it like this, the more it's going to cost to fix it...that's a promise!!

thanks man i guess ill take it apart again i just had it apart two weeks ago for the clutch and it makes me mad that i have to do it again.
