Dinner Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 Hey, i am thinking of buying a couple of 35 watt whatever kind of lights for my banshee. I have been reading topics saying that you cut some wires coming from the killswitch. Maybe i just dont see the answer, but why can't you just use the headlight wires that are already there? Just cut those and hook black to black, and red to whatever ever colour is on the lights. Would this not work? And i took apart my kill switch since shee wouldnt shut off, and the one ground has cracked off where it is soldered to the panel behind the switch. So would soldering it back on allow it to work again? I dont have a soldering tool so ill have to see what i can find. Thanks Dinner Quote
Yamashee1 Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 I put aftermarket Lights on my shee. and I used the stock wiring. the only thing is you won't have high/low beam. I put the black wire to the black wire. and the white wire to the high beam wire. works good and looks good. Quote

Thanks Dinner I just bought some trail-techs 35 watters tonight and I used my stock wiring. But both wires coming out of the light are black (not polorized) so I hooked one up the the black and the other to the yellow. I just cut and taped the green wire up no need for the low beam wire anymore. Quote
baddsheee Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 Same here, my PIAA's are only setup for the hi-beam, the lo-beam is disabled. I agree with Yamashee1, it looks good and works good. Quote
Dinner Posted September 9, 2006 Author Report Posted September 9, 2006 I thought i saw a red and black wire coming going to each headlight, but i could be wrong  You guys wouldnt happen to have any pictures of your wires/hookups? Thanks Quote
