When was the last time you reformatted your computer?

With Nortons, open up your icon and goto "Antispam". Make sure both settings for "Ad blocking"and "Pop-up blocking" are turned on. If so, go to the "Live update" button at the top of the Nortons window and try to update your software.

With Windows, goto "tools" in the top portion of your browser and click "pop-up blocker" to see if it's turned on. If it is, I would also look for updates.

Spybot won't help with pop-up ads, only trojan horse type files.

I don't run adware so I can't comment.

Goodluck!

That was what I was thinking its been a while. Damn it I hate to lose all the crap on there. Hell I would be afraid to save anything off of it in case I saved a infected file.

It's definately a touchy subjuct, but the chances of saving an infected file are very slim, what you need to do, or what my suggestion is.

A. Backup ONLY the most important things on your computer.

B. Reformat your computer. (if you don't know how then let me know I can help out)

C. Put your backed up files back on the PC.

D. Run ad-aware.
