Im getting ready to fire up the new motor just wondering if i was close with a 160,55, and a 120 in the powerjet

running at sea level, 50-90 degree weather

will this get me up and running? will the pj's get enough fuel from a pingle alone? Pump? they have stock bowls. Would i be smart to remove the pills from the powerjets and replace with turning jets? thanks to everyone

Retrofitted power jet? Fuel line should be at least 1/4" and it ought to be ok.

no they are the original powerjets with the carbs, they just have the jet style insert, not the finger adjustable type.

I have keihin pj34mm carbs and they dont have the power jet. I think yours are retro fitted ones. My banshee runs on gas and i have 155 main jets. I thought that you need way more fuel when running alachol compaird to gasoline.

Well the pwk airstrikers have a power jet. Are your carb slides square or shaped like a "D"?

mine are flat on each side with the corners rounded... they very well might be aftermarket powerjets, but im not sure.

they are pj's then with powerjet retrofits on them. the pwk air striker is the only one that came with power jets.

well with the setup it fired up no prob first kick, but now soaks plugs and wont start. The mains have been drilled way out for the alky, but i cant help but wonder...lif it wont start on gas, how will it run with gas when i purge it after running alky all day? will it?

Sounds like too big of a jet now then.

vw brian,

Our 7mm Cub jetting for alky (35mm), #52 pilots, drilled 108 mains and 100 jet type power jets. We run asphalt 1/4 with a fuel pump and the pump tends to richen the mixture.

thanks a bunch... what are the mains srilled out to? and do the needles pass all of the way through the jets? it seems like my setup is a little rich. It seems like you said that you used drilled out 108 mains? or drilled them to 108? which carbs are they? thanks again
