BenBB Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 I didn't think there was anything on the left side of the case where the clutch rod goes; the case is blocked off on that side and the rod goes through the transmission shaft. Is it leaking at the case halves seam? Or on the plastic blockoff plate on the shift drum? Other than that there's the two little freeze plugs for the shift rails, the countershaft seal (behind sprocket), and the shift shaft seal, which one is it?? Quote
Bill Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 I had the little plug next to the plastic blockoff plate pop out on me once.Go to the dealership and ask for one and pound it in with A hammer @ large nail set. Quote
fastcar01 Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 Make sure it isn;t coming out the shifter seal or the drive shaft (with gear) seal. Both ar eany easy fix/. Quote
slyslkwckd Posted August 17, 2006 Author Report Posted August 17, 2006 it isnt leaking from the shift shaft or the drive shaft sooooo...it must be that plug. Thanks a bunch everyone. Quote

Bill Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 The Yamaha shop didnt have one, that sucks. The plug the shop sold me was aluminum,it was like $2.23 for it.They fit kinda tight that why you got to pound it in. Quote
