Dead Op Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Just installed my Topend. I started it up. It was idling way to high and there was no backpressure from the left cylinder. I figured out I forgot to put my carb crossover tube on. I installed it, and it idled fine. The right cylinder seems to get hotter alot quicker though than the left one. It has more back pressure and it smoke way less than the left cylinder. Any suggestions Quote
Bansh-eman Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 i had the same problem... check your jets first of all make sure thery are the same, then check your idle screw both need to be same. after that if its still hot check the bottom screws on your jugs, mine where lose and made a leak and cause the heat. may have a leak chack all your o rings and gaskets. Dead Op Posted August 13, 2006 Author Report Posted August 13, 2006 I just pulled the pluga after doing 3 heat cycles. The one is good the other one is white like it just came out of the box. Quote
Dead Op Posted August 13, 2006 Author Report Posted August 13, 2006 I rebuilt several 2 stroke motors. No the pistons are not in backwards lol! I switched the wires around and that did the trick! Quote
