TREELIZARD Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 (edited) hey guys im going to order some new rear tires and i want to go from the stock tire size which is 20x10x9 to the 6 ply maxxis razr tire in 22x11x9 on the stock rims. do you guys think that i will have trouble going with the bigger tire because of the width. the reason im looking at going to the 22s is so that i can get alittle more ground clearence. do any of you guys run the 22x11x9? and how do you like them. flipcarre Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 Well the Razr's sound good to me, if you want, and if your willing to put a little extra effort you cant cut every other row of stubs. Good traction for what your doing. Quote
racer Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 the taller tire may need a slight gearing reduction via sprocket changes to compensate. Quote
TREELIZARD Posted August 12, 2006 Author Report Posted August 12, 2006 thanks guys I just ordered them Quote
helldriver Posted August 12, 2006 Report Posted August 12, 2006 (edited) they area heavy tire, they are made for Xc racing purposes,, you might be better going for the razrs 4 ply orignal ones I runa set of 22s on some GNCC coarses, they do work well though although i prefer the 20s myself  Edited August 12, 2006 by helldriver Quote
