i just got done redoing my bike b/c someone stole it and then wrecked it.and i stripped it down to the frame and had it powder coated.well any way the brake were off for like 2 weeks and the only way i could get them to bleed was to just open both frt bleeders and leave them open for awhile don't need to do anything else just leave them open and let gravity do the rest...leave them open until you get a good flow comming out and then try and bleed them....

Just my .02 whenever I do mine, I crack them at the caliper, and hold a coffee can under it, while I pump the brakes. When I go to re-fill them, I just fill the rez, and then use the EZ Bleeder I got from JL ATV to suck out all the air in the lines. It looks like a syringe, and attaches to the bleed valve? on the caliper itself. Whenever you start pulling out brake fluid, you stop, and go to the next one. Works like a charm. Make sure those copper gaskets that you re-use are good, mine leaked.
