The pipe manufacturer sets that distance. In all reality, thouhg you only use EGTS as a way of monitering, not seting up an engine. SO what ever the temp is when it is tuned right (piston wash and plug color) just keep that in mind. Quote
snowfoxsx Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 got mine at 6 inches. shee was running fine but i saw 1 cylinder spike to 1700+ degrees at wot? needless to say i shut her down at once and checked the plugs and all was ok thank god! took it easy on the way in and never went over 13-1400. now to find the issue!
