Duke Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 Took my '03 banshee I bought last week on a big trip. Was great, I'm hooked on it... I put it through the ringer, huge stairsteps, hills, jumps, even a foot deep river. Not one problem... I gotta get some pipes and new tires though. Anyway, here are some pics. (Didn't take a good camera 'cause there was a chance for a t-storm, which did hit. We got drenched.) Quote

differentstrokes Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 Hey Duke, welcome to the HQ. The land in your pics looks alot like the riding here in Northern Alabama. Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia...it's all good, the trails are awesome. Quote
race-a-holic Posted July 30, 2006 Report Posted July 30, 2006 Glad to hear you're enjoying the banshee. Once you start modifying,it's hard to stop. Thought I'd warn ya. Quote
STLBILL Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 Welcome Duke: So that's what a stock 'Shee looks like? I forgot what they looked like with stock pipes and fenders. Banshees are almost to the point where being factory stock makes you custom... :-) I had an '03 just like that. I traded her in '04 after my accident (amazingly - just a dented bumper). I ran into the guy who bought her afterward. He did all the stuff everyone else does to them. She is a full-bore drag quad now. As for packing a camera - a couple Ziplock bags do wonders. Just ask anyone with a waverunner. The expensive cameras just give you creative options. Rarely do you have enough time to exhibit creative photog talent while riding anyway. That stuff takes too much time and detracts from the riding experiece. You can get dust and water-resistent covers (e.g. Aquatech) and waterproof cases for many cameras. They start at about $200. -Bill Quote
