dashee03 Posted July 26, 2006 Report Posted July 26, 2006 I just checked my compressiomn and its 125. Can I advance my timing by +4 and still run 93 octane? Also do you have to rejet after advancing the timing? Thanks Quote
2003LimitedBanshee Posted July 26, 2006 Report Posted July 26, 2006 I do believe you should be fine with that compression and advanced timing. I assume you must be on a stock head, or at elevation with an aftermarket? Personally I ran a mix of 20% race (Trick 116) when I advanced my timing by 4*, but I think most will tell you that you are fine, and I cannot say that you wouldn't be fine. If you want to be absolute positive, mix 20% race, cheap insurance in my book and a low mix like that wont make a noticeable decrease if you don't need it. Quote
00tbanshee Posted July 26, 2006 Report Posted July 26, 2006 you will be fine with just 93 if your compression gauge is right you will be fine with just 93 if your compression gauge is right just checked your sig. 125 sounds little low for your shaved head it should carry that stock Quote
