Bansh-eman Posted July 20, 2006 Report Posted July 20, 2006 can anyone take a look at my gear in my signature, and tell me what a round about jetting to start with at glamis would be? i know they say they come "pre jetted" but its no where near... i can idle and thats it... thanks Quote
Bansh-eman Posted July 26, 2006 Author Report Posted July 26, 2006 bump... a buddy of mine was told to try 155 mains 52 pilot and needle on 3rd or 4th clip and 2 turns out... anyone know if that sounds about right? he was told that by alba but last time i went with thier jetting it was all jacked up so im not sure i want to listen to them again... RATBIKE0130 Posted July 26, 2006 Report Posted July 26, 2006 Too many variables... tempature is the main one. Are you talking jetting it for now or when the season starts or mid season when it's cold? Those pipes are choking your motor down by the way. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted July 26, 2006 Author Report Posted July 26, 2006 jetting for now... i can always figure out once it starts getting colder... but i need to beable to start from something ... what pipes would you suggest? im not going to get rockets cause im not using this bike for purely draging. r/atvshee Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 with as hot as it gets at glamis around this time i would say 155mains....i have the same carbs and run at a 162main and its too rich...as for pipes i would go with shearer or cpi's they will go with those mods very well Quote
Polish Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 155..........52.......4th clip..........2 turns I ride at Glamis too and have the same motor............and used to have the same carbs........(but pj's are old technology)..........so I went with 35 PWK's (not pwk airstrikers.......there for motocross)..........but go with the jetting above..........no matter how much you play with it, the bottom end and idling sux.............pwk's are the way to go.........and it will wake up the stroker motor you have If you buy your parts a t Alba........thats cool.........unless you know somebody..........just do the work your self (if you can).........there backed up for decades..........at that means less quality time on each bike! :thumb: Quote
Bansh-eman Posted August 1, 2006 Author Report Posted August 1, 2006 the 35 pwks run well with gas right? im not looking to go alchy anytime... Quote
Polish Posted August 3, 2006 Report Posted August 3, 2006 the 35 pwks run well with gas right? im not looking to go alchy anytime... yes I run 108 and they ripp......with no hesitation Quote
KEVSWS6 Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 (edited) the 35 pwks run well with gas right? im not looking to go alchy anytime... Don't listen to Polish. His bike is slow :baseball_bat: I have some in frame Shearer small bore pipes for you and I'm local. I'll make you a great deal and get your bike jetted correctly for you. Those carbs are fine and will support 90HP. Once you get some pipes that will let that motor breath get it jetted correctly it will RIP hard. I mean as hard as an Alba port can. That jetting is a good start but you will have to change the needle to get it spot on. Edited August 8, 2006 by KEVSWS6 Quote
Polish Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 Don't listen to Polish. His bike is slow :baseball_bat: just for that you should port my bike for 1/2 price..............I know I can get a better port than what I got.......so hook up a fellow slut  Quote
