When i first picked my quad up in late april it was my first banshee. And a big power increasment from my blaster. I got the thing for like dirt cheap and the one u see in my sig is it. You see y i jumped on it. Anyways so 2 weeks later after buying it I've only went riding once and i wanted to do a detail clean on it. So as i was pulling it into my yard over the curb i went gave first a little brap then a second time except second time the brap didnt go away before i relized it im wheeling going towards a wall I had a death grip on the bars and I knew if i were to reach for the clutch i woulda fell so i leaned away from the walll luckly enough no going straight off i couldnt hold it any longer and i saw it was goign to go of so i bailed fliped in the air once. Hurt my ankle and watched my quad launch off a wall into cement stairs. Totaled the tie rod, a-arm and bent the fram serverly in 4 places. What a great day. I wanted to cry when i saw all the damage but i was to mad. 2 of my friends saw me do it. And till this day im still critizized for it. lol. Well the worst part is i just droped if off yesterday to an amazin frame guy i know. He told me hed get it straight and up and running for me so i can only hope. I want to head up to walden next weekend. But i cracked my carburetor bowl because i over tightend it. Man i got shity luck. So if anyone has a stock carburetor bowl, and there willing to sell it please tell me ASAP. SO i can get riding sooner. Thanks guys.

PS: DONT TRUST TWIST THROTTLES (just my opinion i know some guys prefer em)

god damn i have had a similar case with a thumb throttle tho ... Had the carb side of the throttle cable come out of the little metal thing and increase my throttle to about 3/4ths open if not full throttle , i had 100 yards to a canal infront of me and 5 feet to the canal on my right . I barely was able to reach the off switch , and i heard my bike over revving like a mother fucker.... thank god i didnt blow the bike

probly one of the most scarriest things that has happend to me on my banshee besides loosing a tire at 50 .......

Whether it's a twist or a thumb throttle, they all can stick.I prefer the thumb throttle though.I've had the throttle linkage give me trouble.Look underneath the tank at the throttle cable.See the section where the 2 cables from the carbs slide into a larger piece of the throttle cable.Make sure the cables are in nice and tight and tape it up to where they won't slip out.Lesson learned.

Also,if you ever do any work to the top of the carbs like adjusting the needle clip, make sure the slides are put in correctly. With the filter removed look inside the carbs and make sure the slides are completely closed. You'll know it if you see it.

i had an experience with twist throttle, soon as i bought my bike it had twist on it, i rode a wheely into a tree when it stuck, broke the handlebars in 3 spots, bent the rear axle, the swingarm, ruined 2 wheels and plastic got all stressed up....and not to mention the soreness afterwards, it wasnt fun

Well i used to have a twist throttle and the 1st week i got it my freind put it into a telephone pole and another into a tree, so later that week me and my buddy are out goin down a road nice and easy just crackin it in 2nd and lettin off so were side by side and i crack the gas and the quad goes straight to the grab bar, so im goin down the road stuck in a wheelie with a truck right in my path, suure enough right into the right side cracked the windshield and a little else, bikes impounded hospital and a nice bill for the truck, why couldnt it be a dam tree or somthin in front oif me

these are all reasons why i think it is not a wise choice to remove tors. it can save youre ass when you least expect it. besides, its not a complex system. it only weigh a few lbs, and if a microswitch or something fails you just unhook the black box and keep on going.
