had cylinders powder coated, took a week and so i forgot how the VALVES themselves go back into the cylinder, they fit both ways, but on one side there are 2 grooves that had been cut out of the valves, and the other side is smooth. so therefore do i install the grooves up or down.

thanks

I don't remember if the grooves go up or down but I'm pretty sure they will only clear the piston one way when they are all the way in... they have more of a relief on one side to match up with the bore... I think... it's been a while since I put mine together...

The groves go down. I have a 485 cheetah and routinely clean them.

Sorry about that I went to block offs a while back. I do remeber calling trinity with that very same question and they told me the oppisite of what they told me. I would get a hold of calvin just to make sure. I will ask him today.
