txblueshee Posted July 7, 2006 Report Posted July 7, 2006 Get both... the ps3 isn't even suppose to come out by december... you'll be tired of the 360 by then... if not.... then at least by then the 600$ it cost you to get it the 360 going won't burn so bad... My roomates and I just picked up a 360 about 2 weeks ago... it's only been off for about 3 hours since then.... battlefield 2 on xbox live is the best gaming experience i've ever had.... Mike Quote

RNBRAD have you seen the video cards out lately?? they are up to 1024 mb gddr2 ... quad ram dacs... etc.. they have TV out that can very well power a 62 inch palsma HD screen... I have a 256 mb ddr2 Nvidia GeForce 5800 and im still in the game, 2 years old! I have two 21 inch flast screens and a 27" Tv out plugged in! I play Counterstrike Source, Half Life 2, Americas Army, etc.. Its all how u look at it, i dont like controllers, so ive never really been into a console.. But to each their own.. I still have my ps2 also, bought it first day they came out, no problems.. and yes, i prob will buy the ps3! Hey, its still cool to have them! Friends come over thats the main spot to be... Dinner actually XBOX bought out the rights to Rockstars games over Sony So when the new Grand Theft Auto comes out it will only be only XBOX with it and Halo 3 how could you go wrong with a 360? Not sayibng i wont have a PS3 though cause i love some Socom 3 online! Quote

Eric :beer: Oh I know a computer can power a TV, that is how I have my set-up, it's just not a 62. And maybe the audio cards have fiber optic out so you could run the sound from your computer to a good dac in your receiver like the ps2 ps3. This is the major downfall of the PC. If they have these options I'm sure the pc would not be cheap. As for the power of the PS3, my previous statement was from Nvidia. They are the ones making the graphix engine for the PS3 and that was their statement. They said it will be more powefull than anything they make for a PC. If my recollection serves me correctly, they make the most powerfull video card for pc's? Quote

You can play dvd's 2. xbox live 3. updates for all games on xbox live 4. you can have a lan party with it (more than one 360 playin together in the same room) 5. there so much things you can change a. the back ground (mines my banshee) b. you can have a wireless network(sending vids or pics from your pc to 360) 6. Save $200 (bling for the banshee) PS3 1. its not going to have 4 usb ports like someone said, on the prototype it did but they cut alot of shit. 2. BLUERAY yah!!! cant play dvd's on your playstation 3. bluetooth controlers = no lan partys because all the different controlers will confuse the systems. 3. no good games that 360 doesnt have. Both of these systems are basicly the same, the graphics are going to be the same. Pick your system on the games it has. the new gta is coming out at the same time on both systems. Quote
