FMS50 Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 I thought the question was would it be cheaper to do one than the other not does trinity suck.I would say that if you allready have the cylinders have them resleeved but if you want more power go with a cub but resleeving will run you about 250-300 and a cub is about 875.I cannot comment on trinitys porting to much i raced one the other day with a bigbore and stage4 porting not sure how big the bore was but I stomped all over him with a 65mm bore on a stk stroke on that set of cylinders that most people said they wouldnt run, turned out they ran very well.On the other hand I run trinity pipes and im very happy with them they seem to respond well with every thing else that i do to the bike. True we got off track, I think if its price your worried about then have it resleeved especially if your already happy with the power you have. Quote
BigRed350x Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 Yes, sorry for getting things so far off track. If price is your main concern I would get them resleeved, since as others have said, the cubs are a little bit more. If you are looking for more power, the cubs are the best bang for the buck. Again, sorry for jacking your thread. - Jared Quote
lowriderb Posted July 5, 2006 Report Posted July 5, 2006 resleeving them with the big bore sleeves will cut down on the transfer area thats already small on the stock cylinders.. if you were to keep the stock sleeve and have almost the same port job on the jugs the stock sleeved motor will run harder than the bb sleeved one because of this.. im sure a search of this will show other people (myself included) saying the same thing. for the cost of the bb sleeves installed them ported (by a reputable company) will cost about the same as a set of cubs.. dbarkley Posted July 6, 2006 Report Posted July 6, 2006 I had a trinity 420 big bore, and had a lot of problems with it. then i got a 420 4 mill cub from Jeff at fast, and i am very happy with it, would do it again in a second. Quote
