BlackBeast Posted June 28, 2006 Report Posted June 28, 2006 Swapping my transmission over to a new motor in a new case, but noticed a couple of the gears have a little "wiggle" to them. How do I know for sure if they're worn bad enough to replace? What are the factory tolerances? Thanks! Quote

If they "wiggle" I would scrap the tranny and buy a new factory one. I don't risk it with stuf that critical. Quote
BlackBeast Posted June 29, 2006 Author Report Posted June 29, 2006 Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. Can I replace just the gears, or am I going to need new shafts as well? Also, any recommendations on where to get them? Quote

Also, any recommendations on where to get them? I'd check ebay before anything else. You can pick up banshee parts from ebay for way cheap. I got a frame off ebay for $76 not too long ago. Brand new frame, no bends no cracks, all the mounts were there, and it was already stripped to bare metal, ready for paint. I'd imagine you can find a stock tranny on ebay for under $200. You could get it rebuilt but it would end up costing about the same as a new one. Quote
