I have also got the snagged on branches and cracked/ ripped off. new stock ones are rediculously expensive. i replaced mine once, only to break it again in about 2 months. trails can reak havoc on them. i took mine off, but kept the stock nerfs on. i was really leery about ditching them, but haven't had any issues without them yet.
