Gargamel Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 maybe your trouble is that your using a crab  Quote

KJO89 Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 id like to know to. Im having the same problem right now. Quote
Dead Op Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 Check for an air leak, if it only run with the choke on it means it needs to be richened, Do a leak down test! Quote
dogboystoy Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 Floats are stuck... Your not getting any fuel into the carbs. Which means if its not your floats, or a bad choke tube (between the 2 carbs) then you are having a suction problem and are not sucking fuel into your carbs. Float stuck, bad rubber hose between the carbs (not Crabs) ((Hope you dont have those)).. Or your fuel is shut off goof ball.. Good luck :baseball_wassat: Quote

When it run with the choke, you have an air leak somewhere. As far as the crab goes, I prefer Dungeoness on a tenderloin. Quote
fastcar01 Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 I had the same problem. My reed boot gaskets were not sealed. Quote
2twin350s Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 sounds like he did not hook up the rubber tube between the carbs.he siad he just had the top-end off. there is a 3 inch peice of rubber vacumn line between the 2 carbs.it goes on 2 little nubs at the front of the slides .this always falls off.if you do not see this tube between them, that is your problem Quote
sheefreak Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 (edited) I agree w/the air leak theory. Search leakdown tester on here if you want a way to test for airleaks. If you discover you do have an airleak, start spraying carb cleaner around all mating surfaces, when it revs, you found your airleak. Just out of curiosity, did you have it honed for the new rings? And one last thing, I prefer King Crab, split in the half shell! Edited June 24, 2006 by sheefreak Quote
tonyown Posted June 24, 2006 Author Report Posted June 24, 2006 omfg maybe is it the litlte black rubber tube (2-3 inch long) that I fond on the ground? I'm gonna look at this right now... Yea I've get cylinder honed for new rings... P.S: I like crab and I hate carb  Quote
