banshee332 Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 (edited) Anyone have the time to explain to me how an overide tans. works. Is it worth the money? They are worth the money. you dont need the clutch you can shift without it. Give Jim from passion racing a call he does them and they are dunable. what that means is you can treat it like a normal tranny even down shift without the clutch. almost forgot going from a stock tranny to an override you will drop atleast 3 thenths of a second off your ET Jims number is 913-232-3950 Edited June 22, 2006 by banshee332 Quote
blueshee03 Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 Anyone have the time to explain to me how an overide tans. works. Is it worth the money? an overide tranny is a tranny that has been modded so you hold throttle wide open and shift without using the clutch.it is a strictly drag racing tranny.if you back out of throttle without squeezing clutch you will cause damage to the shift forks at the minimum. the duneable overide is a version of the overide that is a tranny you can shift with no clutch at wide open throttle and still ride the dunes and such like an ordinary tranny .you can backload the tranny and not bend the forks.the duneable is a relatively new concept. IamKazam Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 Def. go with the dunable override so you dont have to worry about always pulling in the clutch after acclerating. I think dave moore also does the dunables as well. Quote
locogato11283 Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 ive got a duneable from dave moore and its worked perfect so far in my 10mm cub. i can shift it wide open and downshift it just like a normal tranny. if you do anything other than dragging, then you need a duneable... Quote
