BURKE_DADDY Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 Hello, i was ridding my banshee the other day and all of a sudden there was no pressure on the clutch cable, the clutch lever moved freely with no resistance. i could pull it in freely.then it quit doing it and seemed fined,it only did this for about 50 to 100 feet while i was driving in second gear putting along then it was fine. i pulled over and was messing with the adjustment on the clutch lever when the hollow adjuster bolt broke on the cable. so i towed it home . i then looked at the clutch arm on the top of the engine where the cable hooks to and i could move it with my hands. i just took the side cover off and found one of the clutch plates wasn't in the groove like the rest were i will try to post some pictures below. my question is should i put the clutch plate back in the groove and start ridding or is this a sign of bigger problems or what shall i do. thanks for the help I Quote

Remove all 6 of the bolts that hold your pressure plate on and take a look, I bet that nut came off. If it did come off you will have to put it back on and get a new lock tab for the nut. Quote

If you don't see any obvious damage when you take it apart, it's probably ok. Quote
batoutofshell Posted June 16, 2006 Report Posted June 16, 2006 if all the gears on the back line up your pressure plate was not put on correctly, take off the the 6 screws and rotate the pressure plate to get it on farther. Quote
