I need some help with paddle tires. All my mods are in my sig and I am wondering about paddle tires. I was thinking some skat trak haulers 20x10x10 with 10 paddles on douglas blue lables. I also have read a lot about pro wedges but dont know. Could these paddles also be too much for the motor. Any help would be great, thanks everyone.

Oh I am justing going to use them for the friendly drag race and driving around.

If you're not going to be using them a lot, get the cheapest things you can find. maybe used? Unless you have cash to burn.

If you'll be using them a lot, Sand Stars are high quality and somewhat inexpensive.

why do you say that?

Im going to upgrade from my sand stars to 10p hallers because I got stuck alot on tight trails with lose sand going uphill.

I have the money to spend but need to know sizes and paddle numbers that would work best for my bike. I was under the impression that sand skates, sand stars, sand gekos, and so on were not really for drag racing.

Me and everyone I ride with started with crappy tires: Geckos and the like. And ended up with Scat-Tracks. I guess the best thing to do is just buy a set and be done with it. If you stay off the pavement and gravel, they last forever. I have 9 paddle extremes and it takes a lot of power to turn em, plus I am looking at the sky a lot. 8 paddle Extremes are hard to beat on a modded bike, 9 paddle Haulers do about the same thing with a little smoother hookup, and I REALLY like the Scat Edges I have on the second shee I have. A very nice tire for a lightly modded bike.

I have to agree with ssanddemon, unless your bike is ported, which isn't in your sig, I would go with a 9 paddle hauler from Skat Trak. When I started running a 9 paddle, everyone told me I was over paddling my bike, but you'll likely start modding more and more and then you'll probably want more than the 9 haulers eventually. On the sand gecko etc note, if you plan on dragging go with the Skat Trak's, I think anyone in their right mind will tell you that.

You guys worry too much about paddle numbers.

If you're getting "stuck" riding sand, you need to get out of Oklahoma!

I don't know about anyone else, but I only saw one person who posted on this topic from Oklahoma, or the midwest for that matter, besides the topic starter. In a sense you are somewhat right though. It seems many people forget about rider position, less paddles=shift weight back, more paddles=shift weight forward.
