differentstrokes Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 I called Vito's yesterday and ordered some crank seals and pilots/mains and decided to go ahead and order some .20 over superstocks. I hope I made a good choice, I don't have porting so I figure they'll a be good power increase over stock. This week I'll probably order a noss head (19cc) and send my cylinders off to get bored. I'm hoping to have this thing back together in the next month. I figure my mods will end up being the pistons, head, vforce2's, gytr cdi (been running it awhile), and 2 into 1 with 35mm pwk, lrd pipes, and whatever else I come across between now and then. Plenty of power for the woods, maybe some new sprockets and chain. Just really curious if anyone has had good luck with Vito's. Quote

Mike98shee Posted June 3, 2006 Report Posted June 3, 2006 They have good stuff just stay away from there crankshafts! Quote
kfngrn Posted June 3, 2006 Report Posted June 3, 2006 I ran my super stock pistons in my Banshee for a couple of years and then put them in my wifes bike and they are still going strong. This will give you good power increase. I never had 19cc domes with them, only had 21cc domes and wifes bike is still stock head. Quote
jlm0511 Posted June 3, 2006 Report Posted June 3, 2006 well man i have had some trouble and heard of alot of trouble from vitos pistons i have had one bust in a blaster and 3 sets the skirts have craked in my banshee's so just be careful Quote
strokersquid Posted June 3, 2006 Report Posted June 3, 2006 whats wrong with the cranks ? I bought a stroker from them but Im waiting for next rebuild Quote
differentstrokes Posted June 3, 2006 Author Report Posted June 3, 2006 (edited) I'd hate to bust another skirt, that's what caused this rebuild. If wiseco makes them for Vito's they should be a quality product (cross my fingers), the only way for me to find out is to run them I guess. Edited June 3, 2006 by differentstrokes Quote
Tim C Posted June 3, 2006 Report Posted June 3, 2006 I ran 2 sets of them and had no problems with them. When you have your cylinders bored be sure to have the proper clearence - don't bore them before you get the pistons so they can measure them - some places might tell you they can bore without having the pistons, if they do find somewhere else to get it done. I think the people that are breaking skirts off must be running too much piston clearence because I've had no problems like that. Quote
shanYE west Posted June 3, 2006 Report Posted June 3, 2006 same here no problems and they've been in the bike for about 4 yrs now. Quote
