race-a-holic Posted June 7, 2006 Report Posted June 7, 2006 there were a few times when one cylinder didnt seem to be firing but after tweeking the carbs they both livened up.i have a dyna it was on drag but i put it back to stock and just ran my key a +7.no compression test or leak down yet but bike is running very strong. Is there any one thing that would cause one to fire and not the other? If you're just running gas it would probably be better to set the timing at + 4.I run my alcohol bike at +8.I don't think the crank bearing would have anything to do with your problem.Take you filters off and see if one of your carb. slides is sticking. bansheeseat$$ Posted June 7, 2006 Report Posted June 7, 2006 If one side isn't fireing at Idle or low rpm check your pilot jet for a piece of dirt, sand. It duesn't take much to block off the pilot jet. Quote
