b4e2r0t Posted May 30, 2006 Report Posted May 30, 2006 i bought my used shee off a guy that bought it from someone else and knows not much about it. i blew it up last year and im just getting around to rebuilding it now due to a new job and so many other things leading up to no ride time, anyways. i have a cool head on it with size 18 domes. once my engine is rebuilt i will check my compression to see exactly what it is for fuel octane. my question is, does anyone have an idea what octane fuel i should be running in it? im geussing at least 100ish with these size domes. i was running 94 and i had predetintation pitting in the old jugs so im leading to believe part of my problem is the fuel. i run klotz as my mix. i also am leading to believe that the timing could be out of wack so i will be playing with that a bit to. any recomendations where i should be at there would help me out also. any input on this would be greatly appreciated Quote
hittintrees srh Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 a good timming range is around +4 or +5,though some shee freeks go as high as +7 as far as what type of fuel you should run, like you said check your compression after you rebuild-if your any higher than 155 or so, use like a 110 sunco or something like that. Rustbag Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 If you go with size 20cc or 21cc domes you can go back to premium gas. Quote
