  1. it is this months dirtwheels. if you are a subscriber you already have it, be on the stands soon. apparently someone didnt read the whole article. they havent made anything final yet and it is said to be the best power to wieght ratio atv ever made. possibly 90hp stock but will be toned down to 60-70hp. the picture is just a teaser but the fuel injected 500cc banshee is looking to be done for the near future. in the article it said it would resemble the snow mobile motor that yamaha has (half an R1 motor basicly) and possibly be an auto matic, they said that woudlnt fly with the banshee lover so something else was going to be looked into, they have many of prototypes from what the article said. i geuss we have to just wait and see. also in the article, it was said that there was a ton of extra banshee's made this year to keep flowing thru the dealers for some time to come. i got a kick about how they find this info out in sushi bars over seas, the waiters and chefs ease drop on the big wigs over seas, the american yamaha end will not no untill the last minute but some sushi chef will befor us. lol. heres a pic of those teaser. hope the link works. and its a quick pic i took, please dont flame. http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p223/b4e2r0t/P1010004.jpg
  2. the only things i can think of who might have taken it. is someone who comes on my property to the horse stables and seen it out. but all those people are dripping wet with money. the illegal aliens who cut the field across from me could of seen it out. most likely from trenton. someone who seen it in the back of my truck and followed me home one day. witch is very rare i have it out and i come home in the dark most of the time. i have no enemies that i can think of. this is a very quiet area and never had to worry about these kind of things. these people were after just my shee tho. my truck was unlocked with my wallet inside and about $6,000 in contractors tools in it, none of that was touched. there must of been 2-4 people that did it because it was picked up and carried out. no tracks thru the mud or anything. it has a kryptonite lock on it so it cant be rolled. was done on a rainy night. carried it out to the end of my driveway, threw it in the back of a vehicle and did a burnout in the grass onto the road to add insult to injury. god i hate this shit!

  4. someone took my shee here in good ol washington crossing PA. anyone in this area get wind of a stolen 2001 shee pm me here. at first look the plastics are blue tank black front fenders and white back fenders not many with that color arrangement. any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks for your time.

  7. thanks for the info guys. i will look into a different gauge for the compression testing. it is a stock stroke. its got some porting work. as for the timing i dont no what it is yet and have been trying to find the time to check it with my friend befor this riding trip. anyone know where abouts i should be with the timing so when i check it i can adjust it accordingly? i have one more place i can check for a lower octane, ill look for some 112 there. if not i think im gonna try the 116.
  8. just wanted to get a couple cents from some people in the banshee community. ive been reading alot of other threads about some of my issues and have learned alot thanks to you all. i dont no much about rebuilding stuff so here it goes. me and a friend (that knows engines) just rebuilt my motor on my 01 shee with wiesco prolites 75 over. i have 18cc domes in the coolhead, i bought this bike with the 18cc domes in it. the thing ran like a raped ape when i first got it but didnt run the right fule in it and had pre detination witch led to smear (sunoco 94). i can buy sunoco 116 octane right around the corner from me for $7.19 a gallon. will i be alright with this octane? i can get cam2 witch is 100 octane also for $5.25 a gallon. i live in the philadelphia area of pennsylvania, not quite sure of the elevation. now i do alot of riding in the pocono mountain regin witch is only about a 1500ft increase in elevation i believe, the bikes always run better up there with the thinner air. other mods to the bike that might help are cpi inframes, vitos reed cage and reeds, reed spacers, cpw keihin carbs main jets are 150, needle clip 3rd notch, and the compression im getting when kicking it over is roughly 200-235 (beforing running it) i havent checked pressure since broken in (dont no how much it would change) i barrowed some of my budys 112 octane that he runs in his worked raptor just to break the shee in. problem is 112 we can only find on the net and its like $60 for 5 gallons plus SH. whatever info anyone could give me would be fantastic since i am going on a trip upstate this weekend and want to have an idea on the right fule octane. p.s. also what ratio should i mix my oil at? i run klotz. i was thinking 40:1.
  9. i bought my used shee off a guy that bought it from someone else and knows not much about it. i blew it up last year and im just getting around to rebuilding it now due to a new job and so many other things leading up to no ride time, anyways. i have a cool head on it with size 18 domes. once my engine is rebuilt i will check my compression to see exactly what it is for fuel octane. my question is, does anyone have an idea what octane fuel i should be running in it? im geussing at least 100ish with these size domes. i was running 94 and i had predetintation pitting in the old jugs so im leading to believe part of my problem is the fuel. i run klotz as my mix. i also am leading to believe that the timing could be out of wack so i will be playing with that a bit to. any recomendations where i should be at there would help me out also. any input on this would be greatly appreciated
