Dark Ranger Posted May 17, 2006 Report Posted May 17, 2006 I love my CV carb kit. I would never switch back. It seems to help smooth out the power curve a bit and it is a ton easier to jet. Quote
icecold_shee Posted May 17, 2006 Report Posted May 17, 2006 order it, i dont know bout the 15% on top, i think you lose some, but youll like it, unless you drag a lot, you wont miss the duals Quote
EastCoast Banshee Posted May 17, 2006 Report Posted May 17, 2006 There good for anything from a stock motor to mild ports but you still cant beat two carbs no matter what you do.. Quote
mattw204 Posted May 17, 2006 Report Posted May 17, 2006 best thing you can do to your intake man. i got mine and i will never go back. it looks clean and jets easy and it is also smooth but give some monster power. prolly not as much as two but you wont be able to feel the difference i guarantee it Quote
superdave Posted May 18, 2006 Report Posted May 18, 2006 I love mine... easy to jet ...one carb to clean...one air cleaner....cleaner looking engine...GREAT POWER....nuff said....D Quote

whayden2003 Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Dont know if this is thread jacking, but would this setup with the 35mm carb work on a completely stock bike with only prolite pistons and carbon reeds Quote
Gunner Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Dont know if this is thread jacking, but would this setup with the 35mm carb work on a completely stock bike with only prolite pistons and carbon reeds 517840[/snapback] I used to have the 35mm CV kit on my Banshee, all stock with cut reed cages and FMF pipes, and it added a LOT of throttle response in the low RPM's and was still able to top out around 70mph with my fat a-double-s on it. FWIW, the stock dual carbs topped out at 70mph also. (Radar) That indicates no loss of power. Gunner Quote
thegroup Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 i put one on my buddys 400 'shee (alba 400 stroker kit) last yr and it got better gas mileage, would pull 4th gear on its own on pavement and would top out at 80-85. worth the money in my book if u keep the air box, its kindof a pain in the ass, but its worth only having one carb compared to 2 Quote
Dark Ranger Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 I have heard that the 35mm is more difficult to jet for non-modified engines. I know that on mine it seems like I had to put in real small jets. It still screams! I GPS'd it at 75.6mph a couple weekends ago with my big ass on it. It is still running a little rich. Quote
