platinumjason
If they are stock banshee carbs, should be 26mm.

Rustbag
Yamaha's website says 26mm so thats what I would say. But when I actually measure my stock carbs they are 28mm on the inner diameter. Anybody know why this is??
racer
they were probably mearsuring from a different spot on the carb. that or your stockers have been bored to 28mm.

Did you check the inner or outter diameter? I dont know how Yamaha does the measuring, Id guess inner diameter. But if its not uncommon for people to bore out Banshee carbs. Rustbag
It is possible mine are bored since the guy a bought my shee from raced it. The first time I rebuilt the topend I couldn't believe how much it was ported. Make since he might have done the carbs too.
Animalman294
The measurement should be with calipers, and it will be the narrowest part of the carb that the air has to pass through. Stock is 26 mm, but if it is 28 you may want to go talk to the guy you bought the bike from...........
